About the event
On Saturday 10 October 2026, QVillager hosts the Quantum Ideathon at QuintBridge Osaka (NTT West), co-hosted with Tokiwa Valley.
Start by building quantum circuits
The first half is hands-on. You will rebuild quantum circuits in a simulator and watch how the measurement results change, then use a prepared notebook to solve a disaster-recovery problem with QAOA: with limited people, time, and budget, which roads do you restore first?
Turn a real problem into a team proposal
In the second half, teams start from a societal problem — healthcare, manufacturing, disaster response, finance — and design a new quantum project to present. Judging looks for a coherent line from problem to data to optimization to future impact, not for the most complicated use of quantum.
Designed for first-time participants
No quantum experience is required. A 60-minute workshop beforehand covers the basics, the standard gates, and the idea behind QAOA. Teams are formed in advance by the organizers for a balance of skills, so joining on your own is welcome.
