QVLeap 2026 announcement banner for 10 October 2026
On Saturday 10 October 2026 we are holding QVLeap 2026, a quantum ideathon at QUINTBRIDGE (NTT West) in Osaka, as a side event of Global Startup EXPO 2026. QVillager hosts; Tokiwa Valley co-hosts.
The day begins with a beginner-friendly Mini Lecture on quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum sensing, followed by a 90-minute Quantum Ideathon. Teams then move through a Team Pitch, Expert Review with a quantum researcher, and Networking.
In the Quantum Ideathon, teams choose one societal challenge, with healthcare, manufacturing, resilience, finance, and arts and music offered as example themes. They structure their idea through four prompts: Problem, Current Solution, Quantum Idea, and Expected Change. Quantum technology cards help them start from what each technology can do rather than from difficult theory. No prior quantum knowledge is required. A quantum researcher then reviews the ideas against real research and the current state of the technology.
